About Us
The Nyia-Ko-Society (NGO) is a Registered Society, registered under the Societies Registration Act.1860., Vide Regd. No. SR/ITA/1619/2009 in the Office of the Registrar of Societies, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh on 6th May 2003. It has a permanent office at Village Deed, P.O. Deed P.S. Ziro, Lower Subansiri District, Arunachal Pradesh. Since the inception, the society is undertaking various Socio-Cultural activities, Socio-Economic programmes on Charitable, Educational, Health Cares, Women and Child Development, Youth affairs, Rural Development Programme, Weaving, Knitting, Carpeting, Handloom and Handicraft, Cane and Bamboo, Diary, Piggery, Goatry, Fisheries, Horticulture and Agriculture Allied activities in each area of operation for upliftment of the downtrodden people of Lower Subansiri District in particular and State as a Whole.
OUR WORK
Since inception the society is engaged in various socio-economic programmes like Horticulture, Agriculture, Organic Farming, Herbal Medicinal Plants, Fishery, Animal Husbandry and Poultry farming, Forestry, Health Cares, Youth and Sports activities, Women and Child cares, Environment and Wildlife protections, Handloom & Weaving development programme, Rural and Tribal community developments etc.
Arunachal Pradesh has vast land which is highly potential for horticultural, agricultural, herbal and organic farming, so as a top priority, the society is undertaking various land based and forestry based farming projects among the rural tribal people of Arunachal Pradesh in order to raise their economic and social status with rest of the fellow citizens of our country and to encourage the rural tribal of Arunachal Pradesh and make them rely their livelihood on the horticulture and agriculture as their ‘Green Gold’ mines.
